Cambelts
The cambelt is the most important maintenance item in your engine. It’s responsible for turning the camshaft at the correct speed in order to keep it in sync with the crankshaft, so the valves in the engine cylinders open and close at the right times. It will wear out over time and will eventually need replacing, and a snapped cambelt can cause very expensive damage to your engine. It’s best to get it checked, and replaced if necessary, at Brookland Autos in Dereham. We recommend you get it checked according to the manufacturer’s recommendations but every manufacturer recommends different time periods for replacing your cambelt so it’s best to check with them however usually it will be about every 40,000-100,000 miles.
